TONAL COLUMNS IN MIXED MEDIA

Page 2.1.10

The column on the left is white cartridge paper, white tissue paper, white charcoal pencil and 2 sections of white coloured pencil.

The column on the right is ripped white tissue paper, ripped newspaper, ripped magazine paper, ripped wrapping paper and at the bottom, but very difficult to see in the scan, is ripped black paper which had had holes punched out of it.

This column is made up of 2 different patterns which I had printed on cartridge paper and then cut into small shapes and glued down. It may not be clear but the areas at the top and the bottom are also made up of a number of cut up pieces and are not one solid piece of paper.
