DRAWING PATTERNS FROM ANIMAL MARKINGS
The frill neck lizard has interesting textures on its skin. I therefore wanted to explore individual sections of his body to identify different shapes and unexpected aspects of patterns on the body.

I thought the areas of most interest were the scales which in some parts of the body are quite regular and in others are more uneven.I also liked his eye which has interesting scaly sections. And of course the frill itself is interesting because it has an irregular pattern on it, together with the spines that support it as well as a tooth shape edge.
