FABRIC SELECTION AND DECORATION
These are photos of some of my fabric selection, with those on the right showing some of the printed fabrics. I was able to use quite a few from my own “stash” and only bought a couple of small pieces. As I mentioned in an email, I also bought some discontinued curtain sample books – 3 for $5 so really reasonable. I chose those that had fabric that would be useful for samples and sewing, so they include fine transparent fabrics like organzas etc., and lightweight silk styles. Some of them are quite small (e.g. photo above on the right) but they should be sufficient for small pieces.
These show my fabrics laid out on my work table for printing. I used the same stamp as I used for my paper printing (shown in the bottom and middle right photos). This time I used both green and red acrylic paint on pieces of green and red fabrics. I used some fabric medium in the paints and they dried well.
