Module 1 – Chapter 1

MODULE 1 - CHAPTER 1

I decided to use a star shape for the first four chapters of this module. As I started it in the couple of weeks before Christmas there seemed to be a lot of stars everywhere, but it did make me aware of how often stars are used in advertising and general decoration.

I have used an A4 Art Diary to paste all my pieces into as I have a scanner that takes A4.

 

And I have used a numbering system for my pages which is, e.g.

 

1.2.1.  which is Module 1, Chapter 2, page 1.

 

I hope that is ok, but it seemed to me an easy way to make sure I was able to find things later.

Sorry, but I can’t seem to get this to sit straight on the page, which may be due to my not having it straight when it was scanned. I am still getting used to doing this uploading to a blog! I can redo it if you wish.

COLOUR CIRCLE

 

When I wanted to do this colour circle I didn’t have any gouache water colour paints so I did  a colour wheel with acrylic paints. However, the end result was a bit uneven, so I repeated it when I had been able to get some gouache paints and I was much happier with the result. Although I have seen many colour wheels over the years I have never done one myself, and I found it very interesting to actually make the colours. It certainly made me much more aware of how colours are created and the difference a small change in the colour contents can make.
