DESIGN DEVELOPMENT BASED ON THE STAR
DESIGN SHEET A
I found this chapter really interesting, and sometimes challenging, especially doing the distortion and perspective distortion, but I was quite happy with the results. I am not sure if it’s clear from the scan, but I rubbed a gold shiva paintstik over some of the shapes because I thought the plain paper could do with a bit of interest. Some of the others I outlined with a gold pen or put gold dots around some edges.

I particularly enjoyed Design Sheet C because of the opportunity to create some interesting repeat patterns with the same basic shape.
